Vipers FC is extremely excited to announce that Brendan Pacheco has accepted the role of Director of Coaching beginning July 1st, 2022.

Pacheco arrives at Vipers FC having spent the previous two years as the Director of Coaching for Bayside Nor’easter Soccer Club in Fall River, MA where in a short amount of time helped elevate the youth program. In his time as DOC, Pacheco established himself as a top youth developer, having returned to the club which we spent his youth career representing, and help professionalize youth development within the club along with the implementation of digital and automated processed within the club as well as the development of a social media presence for the club.

Additionally, to serving as the Director of Coaching, Pacheco also serves as the Associate Head Coach for the Men’s Soccer Program at Franklin Pierce University (NCAA Division II), having been elevated to the position in May of 2022.  He will enter his fourth season as an assistant coach with the men's soccer program at Franklin Pierce in 2022.

In 2021, Pacheco finished the season with a 20 -1 - 1 record, earning a #12 National Ranking, and winning the NE10 Regular Season Championship and NE10 Tournament Championship as well! Franklin Pierce progressed to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA National Tournament, where they were knocked in penalties to Millersville.

Pacheco helped the Ravens to a 6-0 overall record in the shortened 2020-21 season held in the spring due to COVID-19, overseeing the team reach their highest national rank since 2011 at No. 2. Along with the program's staff, he earned the NCAA Division II East Region Staff of the Year honor. 

In his first season, Pacheco aided the program to a 15-4-2 overall record, an advancement into the Northeast-10 Semifinals, and a run to the NCAA Quarterfinals in the 2019 season. Pacheco also saw the program rank as high as No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II National Rankings.

A familiar face to the South Coast community, Pacheco has served as a Regional Manager at Resendes Soccer Academy where he has led Summer Academies throughout the area! For the last 3 years, Brendan has helped Resendes Soccer Academy grow to one of the fastest growing Camp, Clinic and Supplemental Training Organizations in the Northeast.

Pacheco also served as an Academy Coach for the New England Revolution from 2015 to 2020. In his time with the New England Revolution, Pacheco assisted Residential Academy Coordinator and Directors with the preparation of all logistical work including scheduling, facility management, rooming assignments, creation of promotional video and equipment management and became an integral Lead Field Player Coach & Goalkeeper Coach for Elite Player Programs such as the Regional Development School, Residential Academy, and Player Development Programs. Additionally, Pacheco assisted the New England Revolution Youth Teams, the professional & fully funded academy program, throughout the 2018 Season.

A goalkeeper in his undergraduate days, Pacheco put together a decorated career at the former junior college powerhouse as Dean transitioned to NCAA Division III status during his time as a Bulldog. He was the 2017 National Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year, as awarded by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), a national governing body at the junior college level. In 2016, he helped backstop a team which ranked first in the nation in goals against, goals-against average and shutouts, on the way to a berth in the national tournament. Dean returned to the national tournament in 2017 and advanced to the national semifinal.

A success in the classroom as well, Pacheco twice earned academic recognition at the national level from the USCAA and was subsequently honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as well, after Dean's transition to Division III.

Originally from Fall River, Mass., Pacheco earned his bachelor's degree from Dean in sports management in 2018. He earned his MBA in Sport Management from Franklin Pierce in August of 2021. Pacheco currently holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” License, a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 2 License. An avid learner, Pacheco will continue on his licensing pathway with the goal of attaining the USSF “A” License and other supplemental courses, licenses and certificates.
